Mobilizing young people around environmental projects in schools

The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region places ecological transition and biodiversity preservation at the heart of its priorities with an ambitious Climate Plan, a Regional Biodiversity strategy, and concrete actions to reduce environmental impact.

In this context, the Eco-Ambassadors program, created in 2018 at the initiative of the Regional Youth Parliament, mobilizes young people around environmental projects in schools. Eco-ambassadors, with the support of an adult mentor, design and implement projects promoting ecological transition and raising awareness among their peers. This program has already enabled more than a thousand young people to become agents of change, by imagining and carrying out concrete initiatives for the planet. Through this call for projects, the Region wishes to amplify this dynamic by supporting initiatives that contribute to the fight against climate change, the protection of biodiversity, and the dissemination of good practices within establishments.

Objectives:
Raise awareness and mobilize young people on the issues of ecological transition

• Develop an ecological and civic culture within establishments.
