Nuova Marcora - Small and Medium-sized Cooperatives

Description

What it is: In order to promote economic development and employment growth in the country, by decree of the Minister of Economic Development of December 4, 2014, a specific aid scheme was established, pursuant to Article 1, paragraph 845, of Law December 27, 2006, n. 296 and subsequent amendments and additions, aimed at promoting the establishment and development of small and medium-sized cooperative societies. This intervention complements that provided for by Law February 27, 1985 n. 49, known as the Marcora Law, providing for the granting of subsidized financing to cooperative societies in which financial companies – participated by the Ministry of Economic Development – assume, or have assumed, shareholdings pursuant to the aforementioned Marcora Law. The provisions of the aforementioned ministerial decree of December 4, 2014 have been replaced by the decree of the Minister of Economic Development of January 4, 2021, which established a new aid scheme aimed at strengthening support for the establishment, development, and consolidation of cooperative societies. The new incentive intervention provides that the procedure for granting subsidized financing to cooperative societies continues to be managed by the financial companies participated by the Ministry, which are entrusted with the implementation of the interventions pursuant to the aforementioned Law n. 49/1985, in order to ensure an adequate and balanced contribution to the "business plan" of cooperative societies...
