Planting on communal and inter-communal properties

Description

As part of its Vendée Biodiversity and Climate 2 plan, the Department is developing proactive, innovative, and pragmatic actions. This action involves planting trees and shrubs in the form of forest plantations, groves, and hedgerows on communal and inter-communal properties. The objective is to increase carbon storage while respecting biodiversity issues and, ultimately, to supply a local hedgerow wood valorization sector. Projects will be co-constructed between the Community and the Department to establish a feasibility study prior to planting. The Department offers its project engineering to the Community; the Department's forestry technician will be called upon to assist the beneficiary with: - Project preparation, - Preparation of the DREAL file if applicable, - Completion of the DT – DICT declaration, - Preparation and supervision of works, - Contact with the company if necessary, - Monitoring of maintenance 1 year after planting. The purchase of plants and contracting with the company are handled by the beneficiary Community.
