Preserve and restore unprotected heritage

By this program, the Grand Est region decides to preserve and restore unprotected architectural heritage and buildings listed as Historic Monuments (IMH), encourage the transmission of trades and know-how and job creation, and mobilize local popular patronage in favor of built heritage through partnership with the Fondation du Patrimoine or any other organization or association responsible for popular patronage in favor of heritage.

Eligible projects:

Unprotected built heritage:

• Public: religious, domestic, industrial, military, small structures (washhouses, wayside crosses, fountains, etc.), water-related structures (except bridges after 1789)
• Private: residences, mills, farms, castles, small structures, industrial, etc.

Built heritage listed as Historic Monuments (IMH):

• Public: religious, domestic, small structures (washhouses, wayside crosses, fountains, etc.), water-related structures (except bridges after 1789), etc.
• Private: residences, mills, farms, castles, small structures, etc.

Eligible expenses:

• Restoration work on the enclosure, roof, and attached decoration (ironwork, mosaics, murals, etc.).
