Preserving aquatic environments and their biodiversity

To ensure the achievement of good ecological status of water and limit the erosion of biodiversity under the combined effect of degradation induced by human activities and climate change, the water agency supports actions aimed at restoring or preserving the proper functioning of all aquatic environments, surface or underground, wetlands and coastal areas.

The appropriateness of actions supported by the water agency is assessed on the basis of a preliminary diagnosis at a coherent hydrographic scale, primarily that of the watershed.
