Preserve, restore and enhance aquatic and wetland environments

The Region relies on nature-based solutions, favorable to the preservation and development of biodiversity in Île-de-France, to preserve, restore and enhance aquatic and wetland environments.

For what types of projects?

• Studies and activities aimed at implementing Green and Blue Infrastructure Contracts,
• Protection, restoration and enhancement of aquatic, wetland and riparian environments, including operations contributing to the control of flood risk from overflowing watercourses,
• Landscape features contributing to the source control of runoff, adaptation to climate change and biodiversity (soil de-sealing, urban greening, alternative rainwater management, etc.),
• Alternative measures to the use of phytosanitary products for the protection of aquatic environments, biodiversity and people (diagnostics and differentiated management plans, acquisition of equipment, etc.).
• Installations allowing water recovery on public buildings and associated facilities for watering.
