Preserve, enhance and sustainably manage the natural heritage of the Pays d'Auge

The Pays d'Auge is distinguished by the quality and diversity of its natural heritage: hedgerows, meadows, forests, coastline, fauna, flora, water resources, etc. Sources of well-being, biodiversity and tourist and economic dynamism, these natural elements constitute strong identity markers for the territory that must be preserved and enhanced. Responding to 8 priority objectives of the Norman SRADDET and taking into consideration the scientific findings of erosion of biodiversity and the coastline by the Norman IPCC, this action sheet n°2 of the LEADER Local Development strategy allows to support the operational implementation of ecological transitions to be carried out in the territories to reduce the causes of climate change, protect coastal and hinterland natural areas and enhance their landscapes.

Objectives of the aid:

• Sustainably preserve the territory's natural resources and spaces
• Strengthen adaptation to climate change
• Raise awareness among different audiences about the preservation of natural heritage and encourage eco-responsible approaches
• Train economic actors in the territory to integrate the environmental dimension into their practices to limit ecological impact
