Promote a diversified local and tourist economy that values local resources, know-how, and actors

The Pays du Bessin has an unevenly distributed and dynamic economic fabric, weakened by changes in consumption patterns, competition from major centers, and, at times, a lack of cooperation between actors. This sheet aims to support the development of a more locally rooted economy and tourism, in connection with all stakeholders. The disparity of the territory between North and South is reflected in the reception of tourists and the number of tourist centers. The South suffers from a lack of visibility and attractiveness for foreign tourists. The operations supported under this action sheet are consistent with 10 objectives of the SRADDET, notably developing the service offer, safeguarding the specificities of the rural world, reducing soil artificialization and managing brownfields, and above all promoting sustainable tourism. This action sheet also takes into account the findings of the Norman IPCC in terms of biodiversity, adaptation to climate change, and air pollution. Actions supported by this action sheet can be carried out in partnership with regional parks, tourist offices, and local associations.
