Implement methanization facilities

ADEME's aid is mainly provided in the form of a grant package per unit of annual production capacity (€/MWh):

• €45/MWh GCV (gross calorific value) for injection, with aid capped at €700,000.

For atypical and innovative projects and urban wastewater treatment plant projects, other aid calculation methods are used.

The equipment supported by ADEME is as follows:

• methanization units with biomethane injection:
  
  1. biogas production;
  2. energy recovery from biogas: heat production only, biogas purification into biomethane, injection into the public network;
• urban wastewater treatment plants (UWTP):
  1. energy recovery from biogas including biomethane purification and injection into the public network.
