Emilia-Romagna Region - Call for Multi-functional Commercial Outlets

What it is: In order to promote, in sparsely populated locations, a presence capable of providing essential goods and services and to counter the phenomena of the rarefaction of the distribution system and services, art. 9 of the regional law of 5 July 1999 n. 14 and subsequent amendments and additions, has provided that Municipalities may promote in mountain and rural areas, as well as in inhabited centers and nuclei with a population of less than 3,000 inhabitants, the presence of multi-functional commercial outlets, i.e., outlets in which the retail trade activity, with a sales area not exceeding 250 square meters, primarily of products from the food sector and the possible activity of serving food and beverages to the public, are carried out together with other services of interest to the community, possibly in agreement with public or private entities. The objective of the call is to promote, in sparsely populated locations, a presence capable of providing essential goods and services and thus to counter the phenomena of the rarefaction of the distribution system and services. Who it is for: The call is aimed at multi-functional commercial outlets already recognized under current regional legislation, as defined in letter h) of article 2 of the call, which have maintained the required characteristics as well as companies located in areas subject to commercial rarefaction phenomena and having the characteristics of multi-functional commercial outlets...
