Region Friuli Venezia Giulia - Aid from the Regional Fund for Agricultural Emergency Management to Combat the Spread of Bark Beetles

What it is: In order to combat the exceptional spread of bark beetles, also aggravated by the persistent consequences caused by the natural disaster of Storm Vaia, this call for proposals lays down the criteria and procedures for granting aid to public and private forest owners or their delegates, aimed at restoring forests damaged by the pathogen, in implementation of Article 1 bis.1 of Regional Law August 13, 2002, n. 22 (Establishment of the Regional Fund for Agricultural Emergency Management). Who it is for: The following can benefit from the aid: a) private or public entities owning forests located in the territory of the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia; b) private or public entities that, at the time of submitting the application, have a delegation from the entities referred to in letter a) for submitting the application and carrying out the intervention for which aid is granted. What it provides: The call for proposals provides for granting aid on a "de minimis" basis to finance forestry operations that meet the following minimum requirements: a) they are carried out in lots where the bark beetle has already attacked or is attacking at least 60 percent of the trees intended for logging: these trees must be dry or decaying spruce trees or trees with still green foliage but currently under bark beetle attack, detectable through certain characteristic symptoms (abnormal needle drop, presence…
