Reinvest, protect, and enhance the built heritage of Pays d'Auge in its cultural and energy dimensions

The built heritage of Pays d'Auge is a strong marker of its identity, an iconic image of Normandy. This heritage is now facing a challenge of conservation and preservation while ensuring greater energy sobriety. Participating in 12 of the 59 objectives of the Norman SRADDET, action sheet n°1 of the LEADER Local Development strategy necessitates a better understanding and appropriation of this heritage so that it can be restored in compliance with the requirements for adaptation to climate change, land management, and the enhancement of the specificities of the rural world in particular. Only under this condition can it remain a vector of economic, cultural, and tourist development for the territory.

Objectives of the aid: 

• Improve the energy efficiency and sobriety of buildings with heritage value
• Support behavioral changes in the face of energy transition challenges
• Strengthen the adaptation and resilience of built heritage with heritage value to the effects of climate change
• Support and promote the heritage riches and identity-specific know-how of Pays d'Auge
