Strengthening the brand image of the Comminges Pyrénées territory

GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND LOGIC OF INTERVENTION

Strategic Objective

Thanks to the richness and diversity of the territory's natural environments, Comminges is a privileged place for the development of sports and outdoor leisure tourism (skiing, hiking, climbing, caving, cycle touring, thermalism, water parks, etc.), benefiting both external tourists and residents. The territory, which has two Grands Sites Occitanie (Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges and Bagnères-de-Luchon), is also a privileged place for the development of cultural tourism thanks to its significant historical (prehistoric, Roman, feudal...) and architectural heritage. The territory is also rich in cultural events and has taken a pioneering approach by adopting, in 2022, a Charter for a Territorial Cultural Project based on respect for people's cultural rights.

Challenges: to strengthen the attractiveness of the Comminges Pyrénées destination and ensure an environmentally friendly tourism and leisure offer; to contribute to the implementation of people's cultural rights.
