Training in safety diagnostics at level crossings - Face-to-face training

DESCRIPTION:

Level crossings (PN) are meeting points between a railway line and a road, the management of which falls under very different modes and consequently represent high-risk areas.

The circular of July 11, 2008, relating to the safety of PNs, allowed the launch of a campaign of safety diagnostics with the aim of evaluating risks and studying avenues for improvement for safety at level crossings.

On May 3, 2019, a national action plan for securing level crossings was issued by the Minister of Transport (Borne plan).

On December 24, 2019, the LOM (Mobility Orientation Law) requires the road manager, in coordination with the railway manager, to carry out a road safety diagnosis of level crossings. To complete these changes, in order to meet the demand indicated in the national action plan, the diagnostic document and its methodology were put in place through the decree of April 6, 2021, and then the order of May 3, 2021.
