Support local crafts and local businesses in Pays d'Auge while encouraging short supply chains and responsible consumption patterns

Although it is a very attractive territory, Pays d'Auge suffers from disparities in terms of economic dynamism and access for all to local commercial services. Some rural areas are indeed confronted with problems of commercial vacancies, underdevelopment of the craft sector and the disappearance of local businesses, due to a lack of successors. Participating in 6 of the 59 objectives of the SRADDET, this action sheet makes it essential to maintain and strengthen local businesses and local crafts in order to ensure balanced development of the territory, a factor of well-being for residents, employment and tourist attractiveness.

Aid objectives:

• Enable the local population to have a diversified local commercial offer in their territory, essential for maintaining the quality of life in rural areas
• Support craft and social and solidarity economy businesses by facilitating their creation and creating a favorable environment for their development
• Encourage networking, knowledge transfer and training initiatives in the fields of the circular economy, short supply chains and crafts
• Support collective initiatives aimed at relocating food and raising awareness of healthy eating and responsible consumption patterns
