Support for the labeling and management of natural areas of regional interest

The Region wishes to establish a regional network of sites labeled as regional nature reserves (RNR) representative of biodiversity, complementary to existing tools.

Natural, agricultural or forest areas presenting a diversity of remarkable species and natural habitats can be labeled as Regional Nature Reserves for a period of 12 years.

At the request of the owners concerned, the Region awards this label and provides financial support to territories mobilized around a shared project (6-year management plan and applicable regulations) by local actors and the scientific community.

For RNR projects, regional financial aid is a maximum of 50% of the cost of studies essential for the constitution of the RNR labeling application file: diagnosis then action program. The aid is conditional on compliance with the methodological guide for nature reserve management plans.

The grant application must then include the request from the owner(s) for the labeling of their land as RNR, as well as a provisional budget and a financing plan.

For sites labeled as regional nature reserves, the Region supports the implementation of the management plan up to 40% of the cost of operations (aid increased to 50% for private managers). The animation and administrative monitoring of the management plan...
