Support for methanization

This scheme is aimed at all methanization unit projects, whether biogas is recovered by injection or cogeneration, whatever the typology (individual or collective agricultural, territorial, industrial, wastewater treatment plant sludge).

Methanization contributes significantly to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region's objectives in terms of energy transition. These, recalled in the Néoterra roadmap (ambition 6), concern:

• a 45% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions
• an increase to 45% in the share of renewable energies

Methanization is also a lever for the agro-ecological transition of farms and offers solutions for waste recovery in the region within a circular economy logic.

To help develop this very virtuous sector and support project leaders, the Region co-pilots the MethaN-Action scheme with ADEME. Aimed at supporting all initiatives in the region (from the emergence phase to operation) and professionalizing project owners, this scheme offers visiting circuits, training, technical days, exchanges with the network of methanization unit operators, guides, newsletters, etc...
