Supporting actors working in the social field

DESCRIPTION OF THE SCHEME

The Department recognizes the essential role of social actors in Charente, promoting the development of territories, encouraging the maintenance of social ties and the learning of citizenship.

More particularly, associative life, based on individual and collective commitment, solidarity and altruism, must thus be encouraged and supported in its development. At the heart of the association, voluntary commitment must be supported and accompanied in its initiatives.

In order to structure, sustain and develop social and medico-social activities complementary to its action, the Department is likely to provide its support to project leaders in the following sectors of activity:

Elderly and disabled people

Regarding the scheme for autonomy and citizenship, compliance with its objectives and orientations will be taken into account. The funded actions must thus allow:

• to better publicize and accept the different forms of disability
• to identify needs and promote the use of services
• to increase the mobility of people with disabilities
