Supporting territorial dynamics to develop their resilience to climate change and biodiversity collapse

Territories organized and managed by local authorities (Communes, EPCI, mixed syndicates, etc.) are one of the essential links for deploying a dynamic adaptation policy in the face of global changes (climate change, biodiversity erosion, etc.), taking into account biodiversity and ecosystem services.
The Region's aim is to support and encourage territorial dynamics to develop their resilience to climate change and the collapse of biodiversity for a successful transition, through the development of territorial biodiversity strategies.

Development of territorial strategies for biodiversity, with an objective of adapting the territory to climate change, as well as their action programs, imperatively taking into account ecosystem services and nature-based adaptation solutions.

The following actions may be supported:

• Project management or support services by a consulting firm or equivalent,
• Involvement of stakeholders: elected officials, private and public actors in the territories, citizens,
• Identification and prioritization of biodiversity issues in the territory, including in particular:

Evaluation of ecosystem services and the territory's dependence on these services,
Direct and indirect impacts of community actions on biodiversity and ecosystem services,
