The DSID is awarded by the regional prefect in the form of investment grants, within a single regional envelope and in areas deemed priorities at the local level. The total amount of the DSID is 212 M€. Regional prefects take into account the financial capacities as well as the economic and social situation of the departments carrying out projects.
