Support for young people's projects in Manche

The Department works daily for youth. The community wants to provide young people with the means to train, to integrate into their adult lives in the best conditions, to open up the field of possibilities for them in the departmental territory so that they can become responsible citizens and fully equipped to face the challenges of tomorrow. The MAJ scheme, proposed as part of the Department's youth policy, contributes to the emancipation and development of young people from Manche aged 11 to 25, by responding to locally identified needs and by supporting concrete and evaluable projects, led for and by young people.

The Manche Ambition Jeunes scheme covers the following themes:

• Entrepreneurship and work: promoting the discovery of local economic heritage (equine sector, agriculture, maritime environment); relying on local centers of excellence; stimulating and supporting the desire to undertake; discovering professions; organizing a forum.
• Digital uses and screen education: promoting intergenerational interaction, facilitating the appropriation of digital tools; access to rights; preventing risky practices for young people.
