Treat wastewater including purification by-products and reduce micropollutant pollution at the source

The Loire-Bretagne water agency financially assists communities in carrying out improvement, extension or reconstruction work on wastewater treatment plants, including sludge storage and treatment work.

This work aims to reduce the impact of discharges on water and to preserve certain sensitive uses (swimming, shellfish production, shore fishing).

The water agency also finances actions undertaken by a community to reduce micropollutant discharges at the source. These actions are defined during the upstream diagnosis which identifies potential emitters of micropollutants measured during the RSDE campaign and defines an action plan to reduce their emissions at the source. Specific micropollutant treatment stations are not eligible.
