Runoff and erosion control works: soft hydraulics and structural hydraulics

Actions that contribute to combating soil erosion, controlling surface water flows to limit their impacts on groundwater and aquatic and wetland environments, on water resources that can be used for drinking water, and on sensitive areas susceptible to microbiological pollution are supported.

Several grants from the Water Agency correspond to this objective:

• Global watershed development studies, diagnostic studies and action program development, monitoring of development impact: Maximum grant rate = 80%

• Animation and technical assistance: Maximum grant rate = 50%

• Structural hydraulics: Structural hydraulics includes: retention or infiltration basins, artificial buffer zones, regulating or depollution structures. Maximum grant rate = 40%

• Land acquisition necessary for the implementation of structural hydraulic developments: Maximum grant rate = 40%

• Soft hydraulics : Soft hydraulics includes: riparian strips, flat hedges, and hedges on embankments, wooded strips, groves…
