Supporting sustainable development - building component

The building sector represents approximately one third of regional energy consumption and nearly 10% of its greenhouse gas emissions. It also represents one of the main expenditure items for municipalities, accounting for 76% of their energy bills.
In addition to reducing the operating costs of local authorities, working to reduce energy consumption in public tertiary buildings also helps contribute to the fight against climate change.

In this context, the Region proposes to support local authorities in their efforts to reduce energy consumption through three axes:
1. Support for heritage strategy studies and audits;
2. Creation of purchasing groups to reduce the costs of small profitable works in public tertiary buildings;
3. Supporting works that enable energy efficiency in buildings.

Projects must necessarily be included in the Nos territoires d’abord contracts.
