Strengthening the economic attractiveness of territories

L'Établissement public foncier d'Occitanie intervenes within the framework of public interest projects to ensure tailor-made land management, without claiming any remuneration for its action. It can:

• support the local authority in the design and feasibility study (technical, economic, and legal) of its project;

• acquire on demand and on behalf of the local authority, the properties necessary for the future realization of the project, then hold them until the start of the project before transferring them to the authority or directly to the operator responsible for its implementation.

Land management strategies developed with local authorities help identify land intended to promote the economic development of a territory.

L'Établissement public foncier d'Occitanie promotes the redevelopment of existing areas and can intervene within the framework of comprehensive and inter-municipal operations for economic purposes, tourism-related, and likely to host large public facilities; provided that these operations are consistent with the sustainable development orientations of the Multiannual Intervention Program and require public land control to secure them.
