Disconnecting water bodies for agricultural use integrated into an approved PTGE or in a ZRE

The water agency supports action programs for territorial approaches aimed at restoring the balance of withdrawals, integrated into a Water Management Territorial Project (PTGE). These action programs mobilize a diverse range of solutions combining the development of nature-based solutions, the acceleration of water savings, the ecological transition of agriculture, substitute reservoirs, etc., depending on the characteristics of each territory.

Among the range of solutions, with the aim of substitution within the framework of an approved PTGE, the agency can support the disconnection of water bodies used for irrigation for isolation from the hydrographic network by a bypass arm, or their removal associated with winter storage. This disconnection can also be financed in territories in water distribution zones (ZRE) as part of work to substitute impactful withdrawals from drinking water reservoirs in order to preserve the drinking water supply.
