Diversify all-season mountain valley tourism

The CIMA is part of an interregional approach that defines guidelines at the scale of the Alpine massif in all sectors of activity with a “mountain” specificity (tourism, services, agriculture, pastoralism, forestry, energy transition).

It is divided into two schemes: Valley Spaces and non-Valley Spaces.

CIMA Valley Spaces aid is intended to support project territories that have been selected within the framework of the “Valley Spaces” call for expressions of interest. The aid aims to address the Alpine challenges of all-season tourism diversification through the development of the discovery of natural and cultural heritage that forms the specificity and notoriety of Alpine territories. Around heritage, it is also about innovating by creating new activities (crossing natural, cultural and intangible heritage, activities with and without snow, addressing new audiences…).
The chosen scale is that of the destination (territory, valley), which potentially covers several communities.

• Associations;
• local authorities and their groupings (communes, EPCI, departments);
• public and private establishments;
• public and private companies;
• mixed syndicates (notably Regional Natural Parks);
• public interest groups (GIP);
• network structures…
