Promoting sustainable development of exemplary tourist sites

Are you a manager of an emblematic tourist site, with high development potential or in urgent need of preservation, and do you wish to improve the customer experience or use digital solutions for managing tourist flows?

The Sud Region supports you, via the "Exemplary Tourist Sites" Call for Projects, to promote the sustainable development of these sites and also to optimize visitor reception and information conditions.

Eligible applicants are managers of major tourist sites and "alternative" sites, namely:

• Departments;
• Intercommunal Public Cooperation Establishments (EPCI);
• Natural parks;
• Communes;
• Tourist offices;
• Associations;
• Businesses.

Component 1 - customer experience and tourist enhancement:

Site managers must present a global reflection including, where relevant, promotional actions, awareness-raising for territory preservation, or even alternative offers to other complementary sites.

Eligible expenses:

• development plans;
• management of visitor numbers;
• purchase and installation of eco-counters;
• signage and interpretation panels;
