Undertake work on their drinking water distribution networks to effectively combat water waste linked to leaks

The objective of this aid scheme is to support local authorities managing drinking water networks, who must undertake work on their drinking water distribution networks to effectively combat water waste linked to leaks and thus contribute to reducing water withdrawals from natural environments.

Public bodies with drinking water distribution competence:

• Communes,
• Communities of Communes and Agglomerations,
• Metropolises,
• Drinking water syndicates,
• Water utilities...

The Region intervenes exclusively in co-financing with the Rhône-Méditerranée Corse Water Agency.
This means that at a minimum, the intervention criteria of the Water Agency will be respected in order to benefit from regional aid.
Furthermore, projects must be part of the Region's “Nos territoires d’abord” (Our territories first) contracts.

The following technical criteria must be respected:

• The works concern operations defined as priority and most urgent within a master plan or a network diagnostic study.
• The works must concern a mature project, advanced to the AVP or PRO stage.
