Facilitating the performance of missions by S.N.S.M. volunteers within the perimeter of ports and nautical bases

The partnership between the Region and the S.N.S.M. is more than thirty years old and the sea rescue model carried out by this associative structure composed solely of volunteers has benefited for many years from the support of the local authority, notably regarding the equipment of the 21 stations spread across the Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur coastline with high-performance and secure navigation equipment.

An agreement was signed in June 2020 which notably allows for facilitating the performance of missions by S.N.S.M. volunteers within the perimeter of ports and nautical bases (access to the sea, reception areas, etc...).
Nautical clubs and structures are numerous on the Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur coastline and play a facilitating role in access to the sea for all.
In this context, the local authority supports their efforts to equip themselves with high-performance safety and navigation equipment.
