Technology Transfer Fund

Description

What it is: The fund supports and accelerates innovation, growth, and lasting recovery processes of the national production system by promoting initiatives and investments useful for the valorization and use of research results in businesses, with particular reference to innovative startups and SMEs. Who it's for: Eligible for intervention are: Innovative SMEs with high growth potential. Innovative startups. Innovative SMEs. Spin-offs and spin-outs from universities, public and private research centers and institutes, science and technology parks. What it provides: Depending on the characteristics and specific financing needs of the companies, investments can take the form of equity and quasi-equity interventions, convertible loans and equity participation instruments, contracts, and grants containing convertible options. The Fund intervenes for each company in an amount not less than €100,000 and not more than €15,000,000, in compliance with the limits provided by the applicable incentive regulations from time to time. With Interministerial Decree of April 29, 2022, published in the Official Gazette no. 138 of June 15, 2022, the financial resources to be allocated to the "Fund for Biomedical Industrial Research and Development" were defined.
