As one of the primary sources of electricity consumption, public lighting represents a significant financial and environmental challenge for communities. An outdated lighting system quickly increases bills and light pollution.

As part of its public lighting mandate, Territoire d’Énergie Orne supports its members in this "lighting transition." The mandate includes investment and maintenance of installations.

Communities benefit from the technical and regulatory expertise (lamp performance, lighting management system, current regulations, system control, etc.) of the syndicate, which works for a fair and environmentally friendly public lighting management, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.

The municipality owns its equipment and remains the decision-maker in the choice of material.

The transfer of responsibility includes:

• Project management and project ownership for investments,
• Diagnosis of the lighting network,
• Management and operation of networks,
• Maintenance of lighting installations and enhancement by light.
