Enabling the financing of the purchase and planting of trees, shrubs and bushes in urban areas

The presence of nature in urban areas is recognized for its role in preserving biodiversity, improving the living environment, attractiveness, combating air pollution and mitigating the effects of climate change. The scheme finances the purchase and planting of trees, shrubs and bushes in urban areas, excluding all other expenses (irrigation systems, landscaping, purchase and planting of plants, urban developments such as paving, sidewalks, etc.). The region also supports technical advice and assistance services for planting and restoration operations (location, choice of species, implementation periods, etc.) and the training of personnel in charge of maintaining green spaces.

Local authorities and their groupings (in particular mixed syndicates), public establishments, public interest groupings, natural space managers, associations, companies.

• Native species, of the "local plant" type or equivalent, with optimal recovery guarantees, will be required. The planting must not use invasive exotic species or highly allergenic species (cypress).
• Be part of a strategic reflection highlighting the biodiversity policy anchored in the territorial project, with in particular a detailed and sustainable management mode (reasoned water management, economical in human resources…
