Install biomass/wood heat production facilities

ADEME invites project leaders to register for an "EnRChoix" type approach, prioritizing sobriety, the pooling of production means and the mobilization of certain RES&R (Renewable and Recovery Energies).

Thus, before making an investment in renewable or recovery heat, the project leader must demonstrate that the following points have been taken into account:

1. Reduction of need: reflection and implementation of sobriety and energy efficiency measures on buildings or processes before sizing the biomass boiler room.
2. Pooling of needs: connection to an existing virtuous heat network when possible or study of the potential for creating a heat network to pool the renewable heat production tool across several buildings.
3. Recovery of waste heat: study of locally available waste heat sources and their adequacy with needs.
4. Consideration of other locally available RES: study of geothermal and solar thermal potential and their adequacy with needs (alone or in addition to biomass).

Biomass is an abundant but limited source of renewable energy, so it is important to use it optimally and where it is the most relevant energy to meet needs.
