Support the adaptation of coastlines to climate change and flexible coastal management to address the challenges of beach erosion and submersion, whose investment projects are included in the 'Nos territoires d’abord' Contracts.

The Region's support is based on the modalities of the 'Trait de côte' Scheme adopted in 2021 with three components:

Component 1:

It concerns the definition of territorial coastal management strategies:

• "the Region supports communities that anticipate and plan the future of their seafront in the face of climate change".
• The aid provided is planning aid to encourage project leaders to define future projects at the right spatial and temporal scale. It concerns studies, design and engineering costs leading to the definition of a strategic document (planning).

Component 2:

It concerns the definition of local strategies relating to the redevelopment of particularly vulnerable coastal areas and the implementation of requalification works for major seaside resorts:
