Support for the revitalization of old town centers

The Établissement public foncier d'Occitanie intervenes in public interest projects to provide tailor-made land action, without claiming any remuneration for its action. It can:

• support the local authority in the design and feasibility study (technical, economic and legal) of its project;
  
• acquire, at the request and on behalf of the local authority, the properties necessary for the future realization of the project, then hold them until the start of the project before transferring them to the local authority or directly to the operator responsible for its implementation.

The Établissement public foncier d'Occitanie supports communities in the reconquest of city centers by helping them build a global strategy aimed at acting on diversified uses.

The establishment intervenes with communities on development projects without size criteria, within the framework of various programs (housing, economic activities, protection of natural spaces), with adapted carrying times (short, medium, long term), in contrasting urban situations (old center with heritage value, town to be revitalized, industrial wasteland, infill sites in tense areas, tourist areas...), provided that these operations are consistent with the sustainable development guidelines of the Pro…
