Support for studies for a hydroelectric installation

This aid dedicated to hydropower aims at the realization of electricity production projects by the motive force of water from a stream, river, lake or water captured by gravity (turbining of drinking or wastewater, for example).

Future hydroelectric developments are envisaged on existing falls created by a weir or a dam (the construction of a new weir or dam constitutes a major difficulty in the current context and such a study will not be fundable).

This corresponds to one of the following cases:

• realization of a new energy production facility on an existing weir that has never been equipped before;
• recommissioning of equipment no longer in operation, but benefiting or not from a water right (founded in title, authorization, etc.) and able to prove the existence of the fall and the organs that use or have used hydraulic power;
• optimization of additional equipment on a currently operated site;
• the turbining of already captured water (drinking water, wastewater, snow network...).

The consultation of energy issues and environmental issues must be carried out from the feasibility study phase. The consultation with all users of the watercourse (fishing, practices...
