Help implement structuring actions to improve air quality

ADEME supports projects that improve outdoor air quality.

Actions supported by ADEME will aim to reduce NO₂, PM10, PM2.5 particles or O₃ but may also concern other regulated pollutants (NMVOCs (non-methane volatile organic compounds), SO₂, PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon)).

Priority projects will be those that are part of a structured action program aimed at improving air quality in the territory (for example: multi-year programming, reproducibility, clearly defined objectives, etc.). The expected gains in air quality (NO₂, particles, ozone and other regulated pollutants) will be clearly defined in relation to the situation of the territory.

ADEME can support the following projects:

• Studies leading to the operational implementation of actions to reduce emissions of regulated atmospheric pollutants for the areas concerned.
• Communication, animation, awareness-raising integrating lasting changes in practices.
• Certain investments such as those relating to the electrification of ships at berth, alternatives to burning green waste or those making it possible to achieve a level of pollutant reduction (at…
