Helping to structure the truffle industry: animation, planting, experimentation, interprofessional structuring and marketing.

The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region is the leading French truffle producing territory. In addition to its gastronomic reputation, truffle cultivation plays a crucial role as a natural firebreak, and enhances neglected land.

However, climatic hazards and increasing competition are jeopardizing this regional production. In order to meet these challenges, the regional executive wishes, through the truffle plan, to encourage the structuring and development of the sector. The main objective is to ensure the sustainability of regional truffle cultivation by promoting transparency, membership in unions, and by strengthening the entire production chain, from planting to marketing. The system is composed of 5 axes:

• Axis n°1: consolidation and collective animation of the sector
• Axis n°2: support for planting
• Axis n°3: Advice to truffle growers
• Axis n°4: support for experimentation
• Axis n°5: support for fairs approved by the quality charter of the National Federation of Truffle Growers

Depending on the axes of the system, different structures can benefit from this aid.
