Support for summer pasture guarding by shepherd farmers

The Departmental Council provides support for summer pasture guarding by shepherd farmers.

Beneficiaries include shepherd farmers, trainee shepherds, Pastoral Groups, Pastoral Land Associations, and Local Authorities.

The amount of aid for guarding by a shepherd farmer ranges from €762 to €1,220 per position, depending on the number of farmers, the number of animals guarded, the duration, the size, the terrain, and the accessibility of the summer pastures.

Payment of the aid will be made at the end of the summer pasture season after verification of the shepherd farmer's presence and the duration of the guarding.
