Develop tourism and heritage

This aid contains 3 action objectives:

• Treatment of site surroundings and public spaces
• Enhancement of the monument, reception areas and visitor sites
• Development of cultural and tourist projects

These objectives are divided into 5 areas of intervention:

• Support for projects related to the departmental Tourism and Heritage policy
• Support for the Cathar Country pole sites
• Aid for investments in pole sites
• Development of gîtes and bed and breakfasts
• Development of outdoor natural spaces

Thus, departmental tourism priorities are mainly based on supporting quality approaches, on the development of a diversified and harmonious offer and on the effective management of tourist flows from concentration poles to the rest of the departmental territory.

The implementation of the Cathar Country Program allows a new stage to be launched aimed at improving the economic approach while respecting the values and ethics of the program according to 3 keywords "modernity, openness and economic performance".
