Promote and enhance parks and gardens open to the public and particularly well maintained - "Jardin remarquable" Label.

Established in 2004, this state label is granted for a period of 5 years to parks and gardens open to the public that are of great interest in terms of history, aesthetics, or botany.

This state label, awarded for 5 renewable years, meets demanding criteria and quality standards regarding composition (organization of spaces), integration into the site and quality of surroundings, remarkable elements (water, follies, plant architectures...), botanical interest, historical interest, public reception, and maintenance respecting environmental quality. It takes into account the diversity of parks and gardens and can concern small or extensive, historical or contemporary gardens of all styles.

The label provides the following advantages:

• Mention in communication documents disseminated by the Ministry of Culture;
• Possibility of obtaining specific road signage bearing the logotype, following the same process as buildings protected as historical monuments;
• Authorization to use the label and its logo on all communication and signage documents;
• Possibility of being taken into account in the definition of local urban planning (PLU)
• Attention: Since January 1, 2014, the label no longer allows...
