ADEME invites project leaders to register for an "EnR'Choix" type approach, prioritizing sobriety, the pooling of production means and the mobilization of certain EnR&R.
Thus, before making an investment in renewable or recovery heat, the project leader must demonstrate that the following points have been taken into account:
- Reduction of need: reflection and implementation of sobriety and energy efficiency measures on buildings or processes before sizing the biomass boiler room;
- Pooling of needs: connection to an existing virtuous heat network when possible or study of the potential for creating a heat network in order to pool the renewable heat production tool over several buildings;
- Recovery of waste heat: study of locally available waste heat sources and their adequacy with needs;
- Consideration of other locally available ENR: study of geothermal and solar thermal potential and their adequacy with needs (alone or in addition to biomass).
Biomass:
- Biomass is an abundant but limited source of renewable energy, so it is important to use it optimally and where it is the most relevant energy to meet needs…
