The Southern Region aims to:
- create, maintain and modernize a network of independent, local and "art house" cinemas;
- ensure comfort and reception as close as possible to current standards, in compliance with eco-construction standards to combat energy waste and reduce the building's carbon footprint;
- encourage land sobriety, prioritize the reconversion and rehabilitation of brownfields over new construction in an energy sobriety approach.
All cinemas under public, associative or private management corresponding to the criteria set by Sueur Law N°92-651 of July 13, 1992 (CGCT, L2251-4,3232- 4 and L4211-1) and located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
For all projects
- "art house" cinemas with less than 7,500 weekly admissions;
- investments in the cinemas themselves and projection booths;
- investments aimed at combating energy waste and reducing the building's carbon footprint;
- cinemas with strong cultural projects offering:
- demanding programming including the distribution of little-distributed films;
- raising awareness among audiences far from culture and welcoming school programs;
