DESCRIPTION OF THE SCHEME

The Department provides support for studies and works that contribute to the safeguarding, conservation and restoration of Charente historical heritage protected as historical monuments.

CALCULATION METHOD

→ Restoration Studies and Works

• 25% of the ex-tax cost of the project if classified as a historical monument
• 20% of the ex-tax cost of the project if listed as a historical monument

The intervention rate decided by the Department will be adjusted according to the contributions of other public partners (State, Region, European Union, etc.), so that the total funding provided by all public entities, excluding the project owner, does not exceed 80% of the cost of the operation. The competent deliberative assembly may grant, depending on particular situations, a subsidy that would have the effect of lowering the project owner's contribution to less than 20%.
