Supporting Museums, Heritage and Archeology of Landes: Aid to Museums of France

Recognizing heritage as a factor of identity and activity of territories, of personal development of the citizen, the Department of Landes supports and promotes a global cultural and heritage action, which aims for quality, accessibility for all audiences, the involvement of territories and populations and territorial equity.

As part of its policy dedicated to cultural heritage, the Department is particularly committed to:

• strengthening the museums of France as structuring actors-equipment of this dynamic through their permanent regulatory missions inscribed in a multi-year scientific and cultural project (as defined in article L441-2 of the Heritage Code, and in accordance with the law of July 7, 2016),
• supporting scientific actions that promote a better knowledge of departmental heritage,
• promoting the heritage of Landes to the greatest number.

The museums of France have a structuring and driving role in the territorial, educational, cultural and tourist dynamic. The Department can financially support their investments.

For structuring investment projects

• the aid rate defined in the regulations for structuring projects is applied.
• floor of eligible expenses: by derogation from part I of the regulations, no floor or ceiling of eligible expenses.
