DEVELOPMENT OF DEPARTMENTAL ROADS THROUGH BUILT-UP AREAS

Objective

To ensure and improve the functions of a Departmental Road passing through a built-up area.

• for general traffic: smooth flow of transit traffic (quality and safety)
• at the agglomeration level: intra-urban traffic, parking, pedestrian safety, quality of urban space for residents, etc.

These developments are the subject of concerted and coordinated operations between the Department and the Communes, or the EPCI, in order to address all aspects of the development of the crossing at the same time.

Eligible operations

Investment works on departmental roads located in built-up areas.

Exclusions

Any other operation.

Beneficiaries

Communes and EPCIs if road competence or cycling development competence has been delegated to them.

Type of aid

For communes with a fiscal potential of less than 150 k€ and for operations of less than 150 k€ of works excluding VAT, excluding network displacements and provided that there is no landscape or architectural issue:

• The Department can act as project owner for crossing works
• The Commune can transfer its project ownership to the Department
• The nearest Engineering Hub: ensures project management of the operation and calculates the communal participation…
