All municipalities in Orne adhere to Territoire d'énergie Orne for its foundational competence: organizing authority for electricity distribution. Te61 is therefore the first point of contact for local authorities regarding the electricity grid.

The low-voltage bare wire network, built before the 1970s, is particularly fragile, especially in the face of climatic constraints.

There are several sections in bare wires. The "small sections" are the most sensitive to these hazards.

Territoire d’Énergie Orne invests in the progressive elimination of this type of network in rural municipalities by replacing it with a twisted aerial network.
