Create, expand or modernize a sorting center for economic activity waste and waste collection centers for professionals

Industrial sorting is often an essential step in preparing economic activity waste for material or energy recovery.

Waste collection centers for professionals allow, in all territories, to be a place for professionals to bring pre-sorted waste, with a view to its material or energy recovery.

The current fleet of sorting centers for economic activity waste includes approximately 450 facilities for 7 million tons of sorting capacity (all non-hazardous and non-inert waste combined).

ADEME intends to develop it in order to meet the ambitious objectives of two laws:

• the energy transition law for green growth (LTECV);
• the law relating to the fight against waste and the circular economy in terms of reuse and recycling.

To facilitate the pursuit of this objective, ADEME supports communities or private actors carrying out projects for sorting centers and waste collection centers for professionals for material and energy recovery.

Aid is mainly granted via ADEME's regional directorates. Prior contact with the one concerned by the project is strongly advised before any action, in order to guide you, specify the eligibility criteria and provide you with technical clarification.
