Set up a shared collection system for venison waste

The regulation of big game is an important issue in the Landes and generates a large quantity of waste from the carcass, butchering, and evisceration of game.

For obvious sanitary reasons, particularly to reduce epidemiological risks, the collection and treatment of this waste has begun to be structured in the Landes.

This is why the Department, in technical partnership with the Fédération des Chasseurs des Landes, supports groups of municipalities setting up a shared collection system for this waste, and provides them with financial investment support.

By derogation from Part I of RU article 6, the subsidy rates, applicable to the ex-tax cost of expenses related to the establishment of shared venison waste collection points, are as follows:

• creation work for a shared collection point (concrete slab, security system, informative panels): 25%.
• acquisition of shared storage equipment (specific bin, cold room, freezer): 25%.

The annual subsidy is capped at €30,000 per EPCI.
